The National Association for Children of Addiction (NACoA) provides resources, support, and education for children and families affected by a parent or loved one’s substance use. Through programs, tools, and professional training, NACoA works to ensure that no child impacted by family addiction goes unsupported, offering guidance for both individuals and those who support them at home, in schools, and in communities. National Honest Talks, Healthy Connections
Caron Foundation
Caron’s Honest Talks, Healthy Connections is a virtual program for parents and caregivers supporting children impacted by a loved one’s substance use. The program provides education, connection, and guidance to help caregivers build confidence in having honest, compassionate conversations that support their child’s well‑being.
National Sibling Support Group
Caron Foundation
Caron Parent and Family Groups provide confidential support for family members and loved ones of individuals who are in treatment, actively using substances, or in recovery. The groups offer a safe, supportive space for education, encouragement, and connection as families navigate their own path toward healing and long‑term recovery. Virtual groups meet on Zoom. NextDistro is a nonprofit harm reduction organization supporting people who use drugs through access to life‑saving supplies, stigma‑free support, and community partnerships. Centered on dignity, autonomy, and equity, NextDistro focuses on reaching people who have been historically excluded from healthcare and works with harm‑reduction and low‑threshold care providers nationwide to promote safety, wellness, and empowerment.

Oasis is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit recovery club providing a safe, welcoming, drop‑in space for individuals in drug and alcohol recovery to connect, rebuild social support, and access recovery resources. Through no‑pressure social activities, daily programs, volunteer opportunities, and community service, Oasis works to prevent relapse, promote sobriety, and expand support to families and the broader community.

PA Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) oversees Pennsylvania’s system of prevention, treatment, and recovery support services for substance use disorders. DDAP provides families and caregivers with trusted information, training, and connections to treatment and recovery resources across the state, helping people understand options, find help, and navigate support throughout the recovery process.

PA KinConnector supports kinship caregivers—relatives and close adults caring for children when parents cannot—through information, referrals, and education. The program offers support groups and trainings for caregivers, along with guidance on financial assistance, legal issues, and navigating kinship and foster care systems, helping families build stability and permanency across Pennsylvania.
